Content Policy

This Content Policy explains the rules governing all content shared on the Townzie Platform. By posting, uploading, or sharing any content on Townzie, you agree to comply with this Policy, as well as Townzie’s Terms and Conditions and other applicable policies.

1. Scope of content

“Content” includes all materials shared on Townzie, whether public or private, including but not limited to:

1.1 Text-based content

  • Listing titles and descriptions

  • Profile information

  • Reviews, ratings, and feedback

  • Blog posts and comments

  • Messages sent to Townzie, Hosts, or Guests

1.2 Visual and media content

  • Photographs and videos

  • Audio recordings

  • Visual elements contained within images or videos (e.g. artwork, signage, posters)

2. Prohibited content

The following content is not permitted on the Townzie Platform:

  • Content primarily intended to advertise or promote external businesses, websites, services, or platforms, including logos, links, or contact details not related to a Listing on Townzie

  • Spam, repetitive postings, bulk messaging, or disruptive communications

  • Content that promotes, facilitates, or depicts illegal, harmful, or dangerous activities

  • Sexually explicit, pornographic, violent, graphic, threatening, or harassing content

  • Discriminatory, hateful, or abusive material based on protected characteristics

  • Content that impersonates another person, business, organization, or Townzie representative

  • Content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights

  • Content that reveals private or confidential information about others, including precise location details that could compromise safety

  • Content depicting sexual acts or explicit nudity

3. Additional content standards

Certain content types are subject to additional requirements:

3.1 Listing titles

  • Titles must accurately reflect the nature, type, or experience of the Listing

  • Excessive use of symbols, emojis, or misleading language may be restricted

3.2 Listings and profiles

  • Listings and profiles must not contain false, misleading, or deceptive information

  • Content must accurately represent the service, accommodation, or offering

3.3 Blog and community content

  • Blog posts and comments must remain relevant and constructive

  • Content that is off-topic, abusive, harassing, or repeatedly targets individuals or groups may be removed

4. Enforcement and moderation

Townzie reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • Remove or restrict any content that violates this Policy or the Terms

  • Remove content with or without prior notice

  • Limit visibility of content

  • Suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations

Townzie is not obligated to provide explanations for moderation decisions unless required by law.

5. Reporting content

If you believe content on Townzie violates this Policy, you may report it via Contact Us.

Reports will be reviewed, but Townzie is not required to act on every report received.

6. No waiver

Failure by Townzie to enforce any provision of this Policy does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

7. Changes to this Policy

Townzie may update this Content Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on the Townzie Platform.
